Pirates Players give back on Clemente Day
Roberto Clemente lost his life helping others so it’s fitting that the Pirates players, on Clemente day, made a huge impact on the lives of young children on the North Shore.
The entire Pirates team and Greg Brown visited the Pittsburgh King Pre K-8 School on the North Shore. They visited and hand-delivered truck full of of goods to the Children.
Vera Clemente, along with her sons Roberto Jr. and Luis, spoke on the importance on pride for yourself as well as for your community.
After the essembly, the Pirates players unloaded the trucks full of t-shirts, copies of the book ”Roberto Clemente: The Pride of the Pittsburgh Pirates, baseball and softball equipment and other physical education equipment.
