Eveland signs with Dodgers
Former Pirates left-hander Dana Eveland signed a minor league deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday. He receives an invite to Spring Training and compete for a spot on the opening day roster either as a fifth starter or as a reliever in the bullpen.
Eveland, 27, finished the 2010 season with the Bucs Triple-A Indians. Eveland made three appearances with the Pirates (one start) posting an 8.38 ERA.
He has a career 16-22 and a 5.74 ERA record with five different major league teams.
