My bittersweet decision
They say when one door closes, another one opens…
I have bittersweet news to share with my readers. I have decided not to re-new my season ticket for the 2011 season. I have struggled with the thought for quite some time now on whether it would be a good decision, but I have faith that it will work out for the best.
I want to be more than just a season ticket holder. As many of you know, I aspire to work in the industry (whether as a sideline reporter, a beat reporter, sports broadcaster or host).
I have decided to use the money for my seat to cover spring training as well as some away games throughout the season. The thought of not being at the ballpark everyday is upsetting but I fully attend on making many games throughout the year.
I had an amazing time being a season ticket holder but want to chase after my dream. So as I say goodbye to this:

I say hello to the future and hopefully more of this:

I want to thank each and everyone of you that read my blog. I hope to bring you even better coverage this season.
wish you the best of luck!

First, I love your headband in the first picture
Now, I can see where your coming from, but I don’t know if I could make that decision. But, one of my goals is to be a season ticket holder
It’ll work out. Good luck in everything!
I think it’s wonderful what you’re doing and I wish you the best of luck. In my fantasy life I’ve always been the one who finally replaced Bob Prince as the true voice of the Pirates but it remains a fantasy. My dream to be a musician worked out great but I’m 6 time zones away from the ballpark! Keep up the good work and I’ll look for you doing the interviews when we finally clinch a post-season in Pittsburgh.
Thank you, Johnny, Joe, Joey. I really appreciate it.

Thanks, 108stchs. I got the headband from forever 21. It was 3 bucks!
I definitly loved being a season ticket holder and would love to become one again. I want to focus on my future and I feel I can better persue that without a season ticket.
Thank you for the support. I appreciate it!

Thanks, stofan. I’m glad things worked out for you (even if the prince fantasy didn’t). Hopefully you get a chance to travel back to the ballpark one of these days. Thank you for the kind words and support!
