Piratefest cont..
I purchased a Flip Ultra HD a few weeks ago, and I was pretty excited to put it to use. I took videos of the Q&A Session with both the Pirates & Management. I suffered through the cramp in my arm from holding the Flip, just so I could upload the video here for everyone to view. Well, to my technology stupidity, I didn’t know youtube only takes 10 minute videos. So unfortuantely after all that work I couldn’t upload them. =( I did find links to Jennifer Langosh’s blog where she typed out the session.

In the future, I will try not to be such a goof. Atleast I have a copy for my own sake! :-/
Later that day, I got to meet Skipper, John Russell and he recongized me from sitting at the Q & A Session. He told me he could tell I was really interested in what the management had to say. I told him that I really do care about the Pirates organization. It’s nice to be appreciated as a devoted fan. I think his comment made my whole month. =)
If you didn’t know already, Pitcher Charlie Morton is also a singer. (He has a myspace music page, check him out) the Pirates asked him to perform a few songs. He played four songs, two which he wrote himself. He kept apologizing for being so nervous, but I actually thought he was pretty darn good.
I had such a great time at Piratefest. My jersey is now offically signed by the 09/10 Pirates (give or take a few) I got to meet a lot of cool fans and season ticket holders that were near by. Only 64 more days until opening day, 18 until pitchers/catchers report for Spring Training. I’m starting to get out of my depressed funk (I absolutely hate the offseason) and really start to look forward to the new season. I think the Pirates have a lot of great guys, and with the Veteran talent that was required this offseason I think we will be a pretty solid team. Could 2010 be the year??
